Chanel T. Rowe, Esq. is a nationally recognized attorney, board leader, and strategic advisor trusted by Fortune 50 corporations, global institutions, and high-growth innovators. With more than a decade of experience spanning BigLaw, federal service, Fortune 50 companies, and the C-suite, she brings a rare combination of legal precision, regulatory mastery, and executive insight to every client engagement.
Chanel began her career in AmLaw 100 firms before serving as a Judicial Law Clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. She went on to become Enforcement Counsel at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, where she led cross-border investigations in insider trading, market manipulation, and healthcare-related securities violations.
After her service at the SEC, Chanel was appointed General Counsel and Partner at Stonehaven, LLC, advising on more than $1B in cross-border capital raises, SEC examinations, and compliance for a global capital markets and fintech advisory platform. She later served as Senior Counsel at Johnson & Johnson, where she guided litigation policy, risk management, and external affairs on high-impact issues, partnering closely with executives, regulators, and policymakers.
Today, as Founder and Managing Attorney of Uriel Law, Chanel represents select clients across finance, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, entertainment, technology, real estate, and higher education. Known for her ability to anticipate risk and align legal strategy with business goals, she is not just a lawyer but a boardroom-level partner who helps leaders navigate complexity, protect reputation, and unlock growth.
Beyond her practice, Chanel serves as a Trustee of Florida International University, where she previously chaired the Audit & Compliance Committee, and as a Board Member of the SEED School of Miami. She has been recognized by Black Enterprise, The American Lawyer, Super Lawyers, ATL Plus Magazine, and the National Bar Association for her leadership and influence. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, a distinction held by fewer than 6% of attorneys.

Beyond the boardroom, Chanel’s commitment to service runs deep. For over two decades, she has mentored countless students and professionals and served on multiple legal and education boards dedicated to expanding access, opportunity, and leadership development. She established the Trustee Chanel T. Rowe Book Award and Judicial Externship Scholarship to help law students overcome financial barriers and gain hands-on experience in the courts. As a Board Trustee at Florida International University (FIU)—the first Black woman and youngest person appointed to serve—she has advanced governance, transparency, and strategic growth for one of the nation’s top-ranked public universities, while also serving on the Board of Directors for The SEED School of Miami. Today, Chanel’s advocacy extends beyond education to championing the millions of working caregivers whose sacrifices often go unseen. Through her platform and policy work, she is raising awareness of the critical need for legislative and workplace reforms that support caregivers’ mental health, economic stability, and dignity.
